Why is the farm for the wolf hammer so bad i dont think its actually possible for me to do without actual self harm ocurring, when its not a good weapon

I want the cool hammer thats factually worse in every way compared to the zenistar, which i already have and had no grind, but this grind would be so bad i would genuinely hurt myself for giving in and doing it, i just want to have fun in a video game

Considering it's both grindy and time-limited, I honestly do not think DE has a valid logical explanation for why.

I've seen him in every mission type except boss fights. If you want him to show up, try to actively participate in Nightwave. It only just occured to me, but I see him almost every day I log in. I think it might be because I actively due Acts, but I'm not sure.

Can I have your luck in encountering him, my opticor vandal is ready for him to come again, wasted him when i was going for the eris junction relay (was doing corpus exterm at the time).

I suspect it may be defense missions in general, it seems he'll generally, if not always, show up (If he's going to show up at all) in the first 5 waves (Usually wave 3 or 4).

For very long farms - you try and if you fail you ♥♥♥♥ off from it, farm other stuff, sell, get plat, buy item you wanted in the first place and enjoy life.

I was lucky enough to farm it and even get some extra parts.

i fought the wolf 10 times. get 1 head, 1 Shocking Touch, Fiver Strike, Fiver Strike, Fiver Strike, Fiver Strike, a lot of them. RNGesus hates me lol

Even if you find a way to put him on farm you still need to bash your head against the RNG wall. I'm probably close to 30 kills but have never seen the motor or mask so pray to Rngesus to not have your time spent farming junk.

Unless DE wants to have a player uprising on their hands, it's more likely he'll be integrated in some way into the soon-to-be-reworked Gas City (Jupiter) tileset, which is what pretty much this entire Nightwave season has been a teaser for. Maybe he'll end up replacing Zanuka as Alad V's little pet.

He won't ever replace Zanuka as Alad V's little pet.

It would be much better if they added him as an assassination target in the new jupiter siimilar to how eris has 2 assassination missions: jordas golem and mutalist alad v.

I don't think anyone would enjoy having his current ambush mechanic become permanent and they'd most likely nerf his spawn rate into the ground if that were the case.

It's highly doubtful that they would make the Wolf Sledge completely unobtainable after the broadcast cycle is over because they very very rarely make anything other than founder items completely exclusive. The closest they've come is zylok from rebuilding earth relay I think and that was something that was a guaranteed reward for doing the missions, not an RNG PitA like wolf sledge parts.
