Ironically, water is actually rather corrosive, universally so, in fact. Water is so good at dissolving everything it touches that every time you drink water, you are simultaneously drinking a very very tiny amount of the container it's in. Yes, even glass, even steel. It has to do with the shape of the H2O molecule and how, if it's spinning just right and just fast enough, it'll chip away at the walls of the container, atom by atom.
