Skip a cycle ...?

So either I cannot find the option to do so or this is a really weird oversight: why can't we end a cycle immediately? There is a way to skip a minute and you can just change rooms a few times, too, but given how often there's nothing left for you to do, doing that several times just to reach the restart quickly is rather bothersome.
