Screen display is suddenly smaller

Usually when I play a game that uses DOSbox, the game takes up the full screen, but when I tried playing DOOM II and Ultimate Doom, the game's screen is a lot smaller, and is against a black background. I didn't change any of the settings, and changing the screen size doesn't help. Any way to fix this?
