Will there be a Survival Sandbox?

Thanks for the reply. I think it would be a great addition to this game as it would give a lot of replayability.
The game looks very nice graphically and the movement of the ants is quite realistic as you can walk on horizontal, vertical or upside down surfaces. I am a very bad strategist but I have felt very comfortable directing my troops of ants and beetles from the top of a rock, which I found very satisfying.

If the custom lobby supports even a stupid AI and allows 1vs1 against that AI, we are good to go. At least me, I am good to go.
But:
1. I only buy games when they are on something like 60+% off, so it will take at least one or two years until I'll buy the game => my opinion is worthless to you ;-)
2. No idea if others would like this too. Or if it is difficult to implement. An AI for this type of game does not come out of the air.

+1 I was going to buy this right now but seeing that there's no sandbox makes me want to pause and wait. It would be different if it was confirmed for the future. But if I play the game and finish it, I wonder how long it would be. So dunno. 🤔

When I first saw it I thought of an open world survival, management and all that.

But now that I see that it is a typical RTS, the truth is that it has been a real blow.

I think these graphics deserve an open world no matter what.

If you guys were really interested in the game you would buy it with or without your so called "sandbox".

What is worse: The game is not even out and you sheep follow some haters to want to force the developers to change/add/do something without having played the game.

Sorry, but this is so incredible stupid, I am missing the words to tell you how I despise sheep like you.

I'm not even sure how a sandbox mode could possibly work. The game's RTS component is nowhere near deep enough to sustain itself over a long period of time, and so an indefinite sandbox-y mode wouldn't make much sense there. Plus we already have skirmish matches versus the AI (under Multiplayer) if all you're looking to do is play a mission with no other goals than to build up an army and defeat your opponent.
