Fake News.. Steam has a lot to lose transmitting viruses
Bitdefender kept warning infected web resource accessed by TheFront.exe...
Also after the game is installed, the following related setting has been alter and alerted by the antivirus
1) security zone settings
2) site management settings
3) Auto logins
4) auto run external drive files
5) insecure UAC
6) Media Autorun

This is a real Trojan , no joke. I refunded the game and never finished the installation .

Did you report it to Steam?
Hopefully it is a false positive, please also consider to contact your manufacturer and transmit the files to them. False positives are not so rare as many people assume.

Yeah and what is so funny?
False positives are nothing uncommon, but they are still a report worth, also in case that the DEVs did not respond here for hours. The lack of communication regarding such an issue is suspect and untrusty. I can fully understand people who are not willing to buy or try if there is only a little chance to get harmed by a piece of software.

So your funny ^^ at the end of your comment are not neccessary.
The mentioned exe is flagged by 3 engines on VirusTotal, Windows Defender, ESET and Bitdefender. So asking what is with this file is total legit.
Ransomware/Trojans are a real threat today and when someone fears about it, it is nothing to laugh about. Cheers.
op is just a troll.
I have Kaspersky swearing too, what's in the game file thefront.exe PDM virus:Trojan.Win32.Generic.nblk
the same problem, Kaspersky anti-virus after each game, deletes the file being run with a suspected virus

Oops, that is bad. This is the second .exe that is detected.
It never happen to me, since I use Steam and I downloaded more than 1000 games meanwhile from their CDN, but there was never a detection of any trojan/virus inside the files - so this is new and suspicious.

Please report the file to Kaspersky and also make a report to Steam - that is legit and well the best what you can do at the moment.
Safety concerns are certainly credible, but I agree this is most likely a false positive. It's something in the behavior of the application running that is in question. It's not the first game to have these issues with executable or dll files.

That said, if you feel confident enough to continue, pretty much all, if not all, AV implementations have a method to not scan a folder. You can add the steam folder, or for a little more safety, add the installation folder for The Front and you will then be able to install it.

The default installation is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Front

I would agree but security concerns are something that every developer should response to as fast as possible, When I contact a developer personally regarding his product is flagged I get an answer mostly in less than 24 hours. Thats from my own experience.

So in this case it was first 1 file reported, but now we have a second file reported. That is strange. As far as I know the DEVs would release today Patch v1.0.4 maybe that changed the reported .exe.-files don't know.

We plan to release the 1.0.4 update on October 14th, which will address some of the issues that

So yeah a little bit more official communication regarding this issue would be great.

Don't disagree at all! I just wanted to give more context to the discussion. Everyone is arguing back and forth about legitimacy and not addressing how to work around the issue so I wanted to provide that feedback.
Kaspersky, and multiple other credible AV's are flagging this as a trojan. Anyone who disagrees is probably inhaling copium. I will not play until an official fix/announcement about it's resolution. I'm interested if steam will get involved to expedite this process.
