If you are going to chastise a game or its devs because of your AV program , at least be smart enough to post in the correct game forum.
Sorry that was a mistake, i pulled some of the imformation from another post after researching the issue and used some of the information here and didn't notice the abbreviation, honest mistake sorry buddy. Prior to posting this i did some homework and posted this hoping others that might incounter this will see one, it's not a virus and two, maybe the developers can fix this, not sure why my Antivirus elerts me to a virus but there must be a reason. I can only Imagine it's because of it's activity maybe working or acting like a virus, i understand it's not a virus which i stated in my posting above and added it to the exception list. If others having this happen come here and search the discussion they will see this and understand it's not a virus and move on. But I do believe that if it's activity maybe working or acting like a virus you can't expect a Antivirus developer to change their code for one issue with a game they don't have anything to do with nor should people state that a particular Antivirus software suck and everyone that owns it should replace it because of one file, that is just ignorant in my opinion. What ever that virus definition is that is tossing an elert out if removed could actual cause a virus of a real threat with simular activity to be missed I would think. Not as this is a big issue if people are told this file is OK and then put it on an exception list but if possible why not just correct this isuue and fix it at it's point of origin which would be the game.
As far as the people above jumping all over me for forgetting to remove that abbreviation which is an honest mistake and Trolling postings for the opportunity to chastise and insult people I don't even pay them any attention, they show up in most everyone's posting. This posting was to alert the developers to see if they wanted to address it and fix it and for others that were experencing the same issue after the update so they understand it's not a virus. As far as i am concerned and the way i conduct myself in the discussion areas is if I have an issue I post a discussion, or post a reply to some one elses discussion of that same content. What I don't do is read through all the posting that don't pertain to my issues and then make snarky remarks to people, as far as i am concerned if i am not having an issue with a file that gave me a virus elert and I see a posting about it i am just moving on, anything else would be considered Trolling.
Great game great job by the way, really enjoying this, Thank You!
OK I didn't realize it made a difference what Antivirus anyone was using so I didn't mention it. I am using Avast Premier. I use to use AVG and had lots of problems with that so I did an internet search on the top ten internet security programs and Avast Premier was in the top ten and had a good rating. I have been using it for 8 months and it is more stable and works great from what i have experienced. AVG would commonly become unstable and then not work to the point I would contact their customer service and they would instruct me to re-install it and upon doing so it would work good for some time until once again it would happen all over again, that's why i replaced it and I haven't had the issue with Avast Premier. I use to use Norton but to be honest Norton doesn't seem to be any better then what i am currently using now.
Avast! scanned my PC and then deleted the exe for this game?!
