Is this game bad as people rage?
Is this game so bad or are people just butthurt? Are people disappointed because there is not enough "new things" in game. Are they angry because of the price or why do they call this game bad?

Im veteran gamer but I managed to miss Baldur's Gate at 90's. How is the original one better or is it? Id' like to know your opinions why this game is good or bad. Is this really sooooo mega horrible from original?

I remember the same thing in Diablo 3. In metacritic many people voted "0" because they were unable to play at release day. They had not even played the game. So I guess that 9€ is worth of this version.

It does have its share of bugs, but I think it's definitely an improvement over the original. And I've played the original at least ten times so that's saying much.

We have become so used to developers rushing out work, full of bugs and other errors, that we now accept it and as can be seen here say well it isn't that bad. Come on if a car was released with this amount of errors you would be very annoyed to say the least....
Find me a car for that price and i will accept those errors

"people are getting used to bugs" When games like Baldurs gate first came out the number of systems and hardware creators was pretty limited.

The reason some encounter bugs is because the marked and varrious moddels are so wide and is practially impossible to debug everything, i have seen bugs due to OS, Graphics card and as a matter of fact i couldn't launch skyrim for the first time due to a sound setting... The developers have no way of knowing these bugs and as previously mentioned the price for this remake is very affordable and does limit the budget for developing and bugtesting.

I'm loving it loads.

Haven't experienced any bugs. And if I will, I won't complain: more espensive and brand new games have more bugs for sure.

Depends on your situation I guess. When i try to play it the screen flashes so badly it literally makes me feel like I am about to have a seizure. So yeah, I am not overly impressed. If you have no issues like that then it is probably a really awesome game.

Proof you should do research before saying things that 'sound right'. There were actually MORE video card vendors back then - ATI, Nvidia, Voodoo, Diamond, etc.

As for BG, it's still a great game, and even better with the updates. I've got around 30 hours so far, and have only seen 2 bugs; one of the first quests, and the Steam Overlay goes crazy for a second when it pops up... no big deal.

Definately worth it, if you like RPG/fantasy games.

If 4 new characters and a new game mode which doesn't add anything to the story and is only accessible from the main menu is worth $20 then by all means buy this game. This version of Baldur's Gate is inferior to the original when modded with the most common popular free mods.

I simply wanted to be able to play one of my all-time favourites. The extra stuff is a bonus.

Initially, I had the problem where I would lose my mouse but someone in another thread pointed out that you go to Options - Graphics and deselect Harware for the mouse and it hasn't happened since. I've also yet to see any other problems. This is exactly the game I remember and love so I'm not sure what all the hating is about.

I've met at least two of the new characters and there seems to be a map I don't recall either which is all pretty awesome for me since I would have been enjoying it anyway.

Seems fine to me.
