Quotes from Siege of Dragonspear
One I haven't had before:

Minsc: My toes itch, Boo. How much longer must I wait before we find a nice evil face worthy of kicking, do you think?
Corwin: There's no shortfall of faces deserving a good kick in this world. I'm sure
we'll come across one sooner than later.
Minsc: And then Minsc does what he does best! Hehe!
Corwin: Ramble nonsensically to his pet rodent about other peoples' rears?
Minsc: And then Minsc will do what he does second best!

That's hilarious! (and Boo agrees!)

Hah, nice. And we all know that even Minsc's second best is pretty impressing. Pressing prints of his feet into the bodies of evil, that is.
To Glint Gardnersonson:

Minsc: Boo says that's crazy. You are crazy in the head gnome.

If someone could make a video (with audio) of Minsc asking Boo to greet the pair of Rashemen, that would be great.

Minsc and boo get all the best lines.

Seems there are more gems to be found:

I like what Minsc said about Boo when Rasaad joined the party. Something about Boo being herald of bold and bald.

Lol, confounding the forces of evil with righteous guessing games!

Rasaad. Good idea. As I had just left BG, I reloaded and bought the two monk items from Kazzrem. As I want to build the canon party and need Glint as the thief/cleric, Rasaad will need to leave as soon as I meet Jaheira.

Anyone into monks and playing a monk bhaalspawn? Aren't they rather weak in BGEE and not much better in SOD?

I played as monk in BG II years ago and my character was unstopable machine of death. There was quite good mod for the game which add special powers used by Balthazar like Lunar Stance (immunity to time stop), Solar Stance etc. In first BG and SoD, probably it could be hard playing a monk. You have to use magical weapons because your fists aren't enchanted yet (so if you can give single * in weapons proficiency it isn't good THAC0) or use sling to avoid close combat at early levels for sure (poor AC at low level).

I would probably play again as vanilla monk (for resitances and stuning attacks) not any of new kits. There is one mod called monastic orders of fearun or something like that. It makes linear progression of all kits and add new kits (like order for halflings monks with the greatest damages of all kits). Damages from fists are reduced but instead monk quicker gets +1 enchantment bonus. I never used this mod I don't like some of ideas it brings to the game.

Monks are one of the very poster children for snowballing. They can stacking abilities that only really "take off" in the later stages of BG 2 - when they gain most of the really nice items that they can wear to offset the inability to don weapons/armor.

I'd say playing monk is for a second or third playthrough, when you are familiar enough with your other party members to compensate for your MCs weakness. Be aware, though, that your protagonist will be not much more than a carry mule and captive audience for the heroics of your other party members in most of the early difficult fights, if you go for monk.

I'd really love to see a number of items geared toward giving monks strong early boni that fall off as they level, to compensate for the buffs that add as they level, so to speak.

MCs weaknesses don't worry me.

I just find it too tempting to give some of the classes/kits a try, which I haven't played in BG. Not even in Icewind Dale 2 I've played a monk, because I didn't know that a monk would have been a great choice for the Black Raven Monastery in that game.

First the Skald, however. Will be interesting to discover the options for bards, such as singing to the menhirs (instead of only humming). And bard items in SOD are in the game not only for Voghiln I assume.
