I'm not sure exactly how to start up this game. I need some help.

Fixed! Install zDoom, extract it, then just run zDoom.exe.

You should install brutal doom and zandrodum.

It makes the game so much better. It adds hitboxes (headshots do 1 hit kills,you can shoot their legs off),it adds stealth takedowns (crouch and melee from behind to break their necks),melee has a "rip and tear" mode that goes into third person showing your character ripping enemies to shreds,everything is just better.

You wont get very good lighting effects in zandrodum,but its the easiest way to install the mod.

Disregard about what I said about Zandronum (it really sucks),get GZ Doom and ZDL.
ZDL is a mod manager for doom. It will make it easy to get multiple mods running.
