Graphical Issues And Other Conserns

I just bought The Ultimate DOOM and everything is discolored. Why is this? Someone help me please. I finally gave in to playing this old game and this graphical issue is NOT how I want my Doom experience to be.

As for my other conserns...In a nutshell, after my very brief unintentional research about Doom and today's systems I am correct to assume I'll need to install some other third-party stuff just to play this with no problems?

Yes. Get Odamex and Zandronum. They're both free to download and use and both offer free multiplayer.
