Mouse lag?
Does anyone notice a slight mouse lag maybe around 50ms or so? I turned verticle retrace (fancy name for v-sync?) and acceleration off.

Yes, that's the mouse updating on tickrate. Choose the "sharp turning" option in player controls and use First Person view.

Mouse acceleration off and sharp turning on.

I wish more modern games, no scratch that, i wish ALL modern FPS games had sharp turning
I dont care about realism, being able to turn instant it feels so damn good :)

That fixed it right up. I don't know why they even included it in a game such as Serious Sam

Mouse acceleration and whatnot will be set off by default in the next patch.

That's not causing it. It is simply the fact that in third person, the game only updates your aim position every tick, which basically means you aim at 20FPS instead of 60. That's why it feels laggy. RMJ, most games actually don't have this problem, in fact i've never seen one that does except Sam. They all have sharp turning by default so there's no option to disable it, as it's obviously worse that way.

here's a little explain about this...

In old SS Engines (FE, SE and even Rev) the "Mouse Acceleration" is not variable acceleration as in modern games.

So, for a correct mouse input, turn "Sharp Turning" ON, "Smoothing" OFF and "Mouse Acceleration" ON.

It work for me, the mouse control feels a lot better (I've a Steel Series Rival 5 mouse).
NOTE: This work for SS FE, SS SE, and SS Revolution (SS Re don't have smooth option, so only you need turn ON "Sharp Turning" and "Mouse Acceleration" ON.

Resuming:

For SE Rev set the following:
"Mouse Acceleration" ON
"Sharp Turning" ON

For SS FE and SS SE set the following:
"Mouse Acceleration" ON
"Smoothing" OFF
"Sharp Turning" ON
