Long loading times?

Not sure if this has to do with the engine or what but serious sam HD loaded faster and I'm not sure how fast the loading times were for the classic game (too far back to remember).

Anyway - thoughts....

How long are the loading times for you? For my mediocre laptop, with everything set to maximum + full xbox models pack it takes only few seconds

5 seconds, haha.

Probably not much to most but yeah.

Got a GTX 680, Intel core i7 950 @ 3.07 ghz, 16 GB DDR3 ram and Windows 7 64 bit. I'm expecting like super-instant load times.

Mouse click, space bar, and ESC can short cut some of the cut scenes/advertisement and load faster.

you're worried because there is a whole 5 seconds when you start a game? That compared to minute long loading screens in every game released in the last decade

Haha true. I'll take all that - I'm a nut for a 5 second loading time, but you'd think with modern PC's this ancient game would load near-instantly.

I think it actually is supposed to load faster than it does, I don't know why it doesn't. Add-ons and mods can make it load slower I think. If you have Revolution, you should also have classic, try loading up one of the classic games and see how fast those load?

yes is a problem, the hd version load faster than this version.

It takes me like 12 seconds to quick load. Which wouldn't be too big of a problem but on mods like Run or Die 3 (where all you do is die) it is pretty hard to not see this as a problem. But quickloading for any other game is instantaneous. Even Serious Sam 3.

Yeah I noticed this while trying to play Run or Die 3, too. It's really frustrating.
