Serious Sam sunken pryamid

Perhaps a silly question, don't know if I am missing something. Get into the room where there are the hundreds of Marsh Hopper, it is unending, There is a pressure switch on the other end of the room but is closes right after I step off of the switch at the entrance. What gives? Is this a glitch? Is there an update or patch?

Pretty damn late, since no one wanted to answer, you can't touch darkened areas, cuz if u do, the door will automatically close.
