Is this soft going to be translated?
Just wondering, are the developers preparing translations for the different languages of the EU? For example: Spanish, French, German, Italian, etc...

I'm not really sure about buying software which is not in my first language -.-

We'd like to support other languages, but it's really hard to do, so it's unlikely to happen any time soon, I'm afraid.

You could try GnuCash[www.gnucash.org] which support more languages

GnuCash has been fully translated into 12 languages: Chinese, Czech, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Spanish and Swedish. More than 13 other languages are partially supported.

You could also google for user's guide and tutorials in your language.

(Lol. It's becoming a bit of a game to get my response in before <ahem> others do. ;) )

It's true that we haven't translated YNAB yet. (One of the reasons is that we aren't prepared to offer the same level of support that we do in other languages yet. ) What language are you looking for specifically? Someone just wrote a German cheat-sheet for YNAB. :)

Support is one of the things that u mark hard. That's good but these kind of software (I don't mention about unique YNAB functions/philosophy) needs more languages. Especially when it's on Steam. Steam is worldwide so u have to be too or just a bit more then now :)

Yes, translate it to german please, and other EU languages too. Its not too much of asking for this price and claimed support. So, im waiting for the patch.

I'm not really looking for support in my language, I just want to be able to use the software in my first language, which as you are asking is spanish.

Valve has a "translation server" open to any developer (I believe), which makes use of volunteer translators to make the hard work for you guys. If you don't have any resources to translate your software, this might be a nice (and quick) solution.

Thanks for pointing out the "translation server". It's no small task to localize a whole codebase, but I can definitely see why you want it. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer! (Puedo hablar un poco de Español tambien si querés, pero pienso que tu inglés es mucho mejor que mi Español! ;) )

Right now it's not the translations holding us back, but rather the software isn't designed to be translatable. Hopefully one day it will be, and at that point we'll look into getting it translated.

Thanks for your enthusiasm though :)

Different Languages? Would support translation into...
... the german languange. If you need help, i or/and the german community of the programm can support the translation into german. Maybe others would like to translate it into their language? Would like to know if the developer(s) would support this idea.

Best regards,

I actually don't care too much if it's in english or spanish, but it does matter having chilean pesos instead of dollars. Is the currency changeable?
RodeoClown May 26, 2014 @ 7:27pm
Yep, the currency is definitely changeable (You can choose the currency when setting up your new budget).
Cheers,

I'm willing to translate this to Dutch if you want.

If you want to make a Dutch cheat sheet, by all means, go for it :)
