Mercedes-Benz Axor Mod

Yesterday, i downloaded the Mercedes-Benx Axor V2 mod by DanX (i think) and it seems to work fine, though i can't afford another tuck yet, but when i first went to a Majestic Dealer just to see it, the game crashed to desktop. i opened again and everything seemed to work.
Just now, while playing, i discovered a Majestic Dealer and the game crashed. opened it again, discovered dealer again, crashed again when i tried to enter the dealership. i can't seem to access a Majestic Dealer from the in-game world with this mod. any ideas?

tired that and tried re-starting with it deactivated, playing a bit, re-activating, etc. but no success. now that i bought it and tested it in game it causes crashes almost instantly, which is extremely disapointing. seems to go a bit longer when just "launching ETS 2" than when using DirectX or OpenGL.

You mean, you bought ETS2... you didn't buy the mod right? Not sure if I read your post correctly.

You mean, you bought ETS2... you didn't buy the mod right? Not sure if I read your post correctly.

no i mean the truck. just visiting the dealership caused crashes, then i got enough money to buy the truck in game and driving it caused a crash almost immediately. i guess it wasn't very clear.
and i have disabled the mod, too bad, because it is waaaaay nicer looking than the knock-off.

I had problems with Axor v2 crashing my game also. Oddly the v1 works for me.

i thought of trying the v1 too but then i found it on a different, more detailed, site. seems both the v1 and v2 are really old, pre-release in my country. on this site though i found a very recent "logo" mod for the Majestic which also changes the name of the dealership to Mercedes-Benz and you can still use all the accessories and (most importantly) engines. thanks for the info though.

Hi Booch, I'd be interested in trying the working "logo" mod you mentioned, to change the Majestic logo and dealership branding. I used to run an earlier version of ETS2 (1.3.1.4) with a logo modifier that worked well back then. However, since patching to 1.8.2.5 that mod doesn't work any more. Could you please post a link to the site? Thanks.

deactivate the mod and any other mods you might have installed if any since your game was working fine, then load a save before you installed. if you are still crashing the it may be another mod and you just didnt know it. if that is the case one by one, turn off mods and load that save and see if you can access a majestic dealer without crashing.

Hello, well I opened up the game to try to find a clue but it has been ages since I found it. The mod, in the menu, is called Mercedes Benz Logo.scs but don't remember exactly where I found it. I searched the sites but there's a few for ETS2 mods and this is all I found...

I remember the screenshots having a black truck in them but the mod could have been updated and re-uploaded since I downloaded it. I think it has to one of these, but I don't know. Also, I don't even drive that truck anymore (since they added that new Volvo) so I'm not sure if it is even working. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful :D

To the people who's advice is deactivate the mod and don't reactivate it... that's really not helpful and please stop posting such a pointless comment. I found a solution that wasn't NOT using the mod and I hope Deputy Dawg does as well... Imagine going to a doctor when you're sick and he tells you "just don't be sick anymore" is that helpful at all? No. :D

Update: Success!

I took your advice (thanks [JLM]Vashts!) on how to reactivate mods that stopped working after a new patch update. So I deactivated all the mods in my list, then loaded a saved game to see if it worked ok. It looked fine, so I created a new save and quit. Then I restarted the game and loaded the fresh save file with the mod: real-logo-mod-130.scs Happy to report that I now have real world logos again.

I'm gradually introducing my mod list into my 1.8.2.5 game a couple at a time so I can check if they work or not. Next one to test will be the mod that pushes your driving position back a little so you don't feel as if your nose is pressed up against the windscreen.

Not connected to this post, but an interesting tip I read:
Some modders say it's important to have continuous file names and that if you have gaps in the name they don't load correctly. Have you heard that? Maybe it's been fixed in a patch by now?

When Steam release Patch 1.9 I'll have a good browse around them for some new mods...
