Yes but to speed you should download a MOD for almentar speed

All trucks are electronically limited to 55 MPH. That is the law in the EU. Like Cristyan said, if you want to speed, download a mod. I'm considering removing the mod though since I rarely ever want to go over 55 MPH and speed traps have a nasty fine.

mod is great for getting around that annoying AI driver who likes to brake and speed up all the time but it is true, everytime you pass a speed limit sign while speeding you'll get fined.

Yes, there is a mod to remove the speed limit. I fiddled around with the game files a bit and managed to turn police off (No fines for speeding, crashing, etc.)

good i will look around for that one, because sometimes i get fined so many times that the money that i will earn from the delivery don´t cover the costs =P

Im still new to this game but from what I've read upgrading your engine raises the Torque so it won't slow down so much at slopes.

now i put the mod and my truck go to 70-80 mph, its funny =P (but i crash my truck so many times... but still funny)

Removing the speed limiter is what makes the gamre REALLY fun. Nothing like doing 140kph with a 20t load to scare the beejeesus out of the little cars. And speeding traps just means I'm on schedule. 8)

Not correct. Every country has its own speed limits for different vehicle classes. For example, in Finland, trucks speed is limited 80 km/h = 49,7 mph.The same applies to the all scandinavian countries.
In some european countries also have the same restriction, for example: Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Poland.
The game has just been easier to do the same formula for all countries, consistent with the speed limit

you can easy change your speed in game_data.ssi file ,just open it with winrar and change directly,for that i use my notepad++
