Electric Cars, so good; Electric Chargers... very sad.
Update maps, and charge stations, please.

I am guessing the recharging will be like sleeping? So if you have not disabled the need for rest, this probably will not affect your game play at all. I would hope they at least provide a timer like in Bethesda games for how much time you will want to "recharge" in case you just need that tiny little bit of power to finish a job before the time runs out?

I'm not sure how they'll implement recharging stations into the game. I would think it'd just be similar to refilling at a normal gas station (or as you folks in Europe, petrol station lol), but now that I think about it, because it normally takes quite a bit longer to recharge than just wait at the pump for about 10 minutes (depends on how empty said truck is).... I bet they'll do something along the lines of how the cargo market is handled when you use your own trailer. You go to a spot to recharge, park, probably turn off engine, hit enter, small amount of time passes, and it's good to go once the game comes back.

That's just me thinking, but I'm going to hedge a bet that's probably how they'll do it.

There are obviously others than you who are thinking about how the charging stations will be implemented in the game, and I have also made up my mind.

The easiest way to do this would of course be to simply give us the opportunity to charge at all gas stations, in the same way as when we fill up with diesel.
But will it seem realistic that way? No, and therefore I don't think it will be entirely easy to implement charging stations either, it will probably require both new models for some gas stations, and perhaps also for certain other buildings, and thus probably also a lot of changes on the map.

What I would find most realistic would be to change the large gas stations/rest areas along highways, to tank and charging stations.

With your own large garages, you can refuel.
But I would think that when it comes to charging you should be able to charge in your own 3-slot garages.

Charging takes significantly longer than refueling, so it must somehow be combined with rest, and also deduct the remaining time you have left to finish a job if you charge while in the middle of a job.

But the above is just my 5 cents thoughts.
In the end, in any case, we just have to arm ourselves with patiently waiting for SCS to come out with their solution for charging electric trucks. :)

The way you make this sound seems more insulting than you probably meant it, considering I am well aware that others are thinking of something else. My opinion is just that, just how I think it may get implemented. Me personally, I couldn't give a crap about EV's, but I'm not against them for the game.

I regret that, and can only excuse myself that English is not my main language and that I therefore use google translator, which does not always give the best translation of my Danish language.
I had absolutely no intention of offending anyone. :)

I agree, many things in the game are already not realistic, like getting a fine for turning right at a red light when all the AI cars and trucks can do this and it is also legal most places unless otherwise posted. Also, with Diesel trucks in the USA at least, you must also fill up your DEF tank, I imagine the game just assumes handling this when you fill up?

It will be interesting to see how they handle this. I did not even think about our own garages. So that is a good point. I would sure hope they allow us to recharge there.

Far as I'm aware, in Europe, right on right isn't legal. But I'm not familiar with EU laws, so I don't know. Whenever I play ETS2, I simply just don't bother with right on red.

Pretty much this. When you fill up at a truck stop or any fuel station, the DEF is being automatically taken care of. (Same in ETS2 with Adblue, since it's basically the same thing)

I think for the sake of simplicity, I'm fine with this since the diesel and DEF are essentially at the same pump (different nozzles of course), there's no real reason to separate them for the game.

Não sou fã de carros eletrico , mas infelizmente virou moda e até chegou aqui no ets2 .
Vamos ver se eles vão fazer igual na vida real , autonomia baixa de rodagem.
