triple monitor config file
Looking for a config set-up file so can make my triple monitors look awsome. I have been tinkering with the config to get it to look as real as possible but still seems off a bit so any help would be awsome if possible. If possible please post your config file.
I am running triple 27" monitors on a GTX980 if that helps.

Thanks but this is what i ahve been using but their descriptions of what each thing does is crap and doesnt explain anything.
Why they dont do like Iracing is beyond me. To set up triples in that is so simple you just put in your angles and distance your head is from the monitors and bamm all done.

I feel your pain. I had to mess with settings for hours until I got a satisfactory result. But that's because I have a customized setup with 2 side monitors with 16:9 AR and one center monitor with AR of 21:9. In your case, 3 screens with the same AR is much easier to achieve a good result. You just have to tell me with more details about what are you trying to achieve that you couldn't just by using mulitmon mode 2 command. I personally use mode 4, due to having more control over each screen and being able to customize the setup using multimon command on-the-fly.

NIce thread! <3 Lots of info and good link too. Wish I knew how to put ETS2 on my dual monitor aka two monitors. Want the steer just like how it is on 1 monitor, in the center, but 2 screens is a mess, cause of the steer being splitted in half, hehe.

The frustum_subrect parameters in the mode 4 can be used to do this. It was used to set up the center monitors for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrUTjr7KTgs

This is affected by the field of view. It can be changed using the r_multimon_fov_horizontal parameter and the correct value corresponds to the view angle which is covered by the monitor from your position.

The value used by the game in single monitor mode is much bigger as it needs to show you the mirrors and dashboard. The physical mismatch is not problem in that mode. With the multi-view mode, the angle covered by all monitors combined with the same settings would be something like 250 degress so it would require quite unusual positioning of all the monitors to look right.

The smaller field of view also affects sense of speed which appears smaller than whan you are expecting from the single-monitor play. Also especially on the widescreen monitor you are loosing big part of the vertical field of view which causes the "face in windshield" feeling.

It seems a developer took the lead on the topic to help. So I think my help has no use anymore here. BTW, I was the first guy at WSGF forums to support triple screen FOV mod for this game and it seems I'm still in the instruction page for ETS2 at there. I think I need to give the guys a heads up about the new advanced multimon setup, unless someone wants to do it.

Thanks Cole for your assistance i guess for ETS2 ill go back to my track IR and keep triples for iracing. it is just not worth trying to experiment with things that should be in the graphic settings like Iracing. I love this game and would rather be playing instead of trying to figure something out that is set up archaically.

You're not being fair here. You want something but you don't want it badly enough to work at it, then one of the developers gives you some very good information and you decide instead to insult them for not having already done this for you. The word "lazy" comes to mind.

This isn't iRacing and SCS isn't charging you a subscription to play like iRacing is. You should be more understanding.

Oh, so you have TrackIR too? I have the v5. And I use it with triple screen setup. Track IR with just one screen feels weird to me. Too much head movement or too much sensitivity, if you're using just one screen. I agree that setting up triples in iRacing is easier, but ETS2 is finally on the right path. The guys at SCS just needs to realise that a lotta people playing ETS2 does use of triple screen setup, or even 4. And we need an easier and less troublesome way to set it up.

Take a look at this:

That was before the new multimon feature. It was a pain to config. Now it's easier, or should I say "less difficult"?^^''

Anyway, don't give up on triples with ETS2. The game is a blast to play in triples when correctly configured.

I would gladly pay a monthly fee for this game. It is awsome. My issue is instead of thinking everyone is tech savy it should be easier to set up in graphic options instead of editting files.

I have been trying to set up my 3x27" monitors for a while now, no improvement as yet.

I think the best triple monitor setup is with Asseto Corsa. Put your 3 screens up and just click away with the mouse. Perfect solution.

With ETS2, it's the exact same thing, except there is no GUI. It's all by old command line terminal. I got used to it, but I really wanted a GUI to make things easier for everyone.

I will try it. I was fiddling with the normalized x and width. My steer appeared like how it is on 1 screen, but I couldn't get the second screen working. It was just black. I will try the fustrum.
