AI Traffic Mods

Hi Fellow truckers,

I had a question.

I am looking to enhance my driving experience by adding a few ai traffic mods to my games (ETS2 and ATS).

I was wondering if the trucking community had any suggestions for good traffic mods?

I am ok if they are from external websites.

[EDIT]I used this mod above as a reference only, it seems this mod causes issues to some people, so maybe best to avoid.

Jazzycat and TrafficManiac will give you all the variety of vehicles

PS Both theses authors AI only traffic are save file benign and friendly.
Using the g_traffic multiplier is not a good way to go as it multiplies everything. Mods are the best way to go, you can even edit them to your own needs once you understand the very easy process .

I think there are some traffic mods in rhe workshop. Use the search and filter function there.

in-game there is a parameter in config.cfg. g_traffic which can be modified with a text editor or on the fly via the console. It changess the overall amount of AI traffic from 0.0 (no traffic at all) to 10.0 (extremely insane taffic jam). I 've rread that circa 2.0 is considered fairly realistic.

I tried this mod and it just CTD my game midway through loading, i also have had problems with other traffic mods e.g. Ciphinho mod amongst others but they either CTD or cause severe lags or stutters/freezes. I use this mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1802889811 which seems to work although config traffic setting '1' seems a bit sparse so i use '2'.

I would say you ran this old unsupported version that is still on mp then, it even has a BIG warning not to use it.. which points you to the working version I posted.

Even the updated version by peter pan causes ctd's for a great many players myself included.
