Skip launcher?
Hello,

How do I skip the launcher (with the choice of DirectX/OpenGL, etc) and go straight to the game when I start it in Steam?

You have to pick one in order to start the game.

I said *skip*, not *use*. It is a classic feature usually available on all games.

So it takes maybe two seconds in the Launcher to select DirectX/OpenGL, etc. You don't have two seconds to do that ?? :steamfacepalm:

No I don't want to see that kind of stuff. I chose once and I don't need to change so it's useless.

Just use the icon on the desktop "Euro Truck" like I do.

If you have steam pinned to the taskbar you can right click it and launch from recent games, and if you wish permanently pin it, after that no launcher required.

enter your startoptions to the game properties inside steam. after that you can use the icon on your desktop to start the game directly (not needed to start steam and no more clicks inside steam needed).

I clicked first time DX11, then everytime only play game and guess what, it runs always with DX11... :lunar2019laughingpig:

That wont disable the menu to choose which version of ets2 you want to launch.....

-- To answer this question, I have ATS & ETS2 pinned on my taskbar. It just opens directly into the game with the previously used settings. ;)

Yes :/ For the moment I use a shortcut to the game's exe but that has few drawbacks. I guess after all these years they won't do anything about it.

It's not a problem that needs fixed. Create a Steam shortcut and get on with your life.

two shortcut Targets work:
1) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 227300
2) ". . . \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x64\eurotrucks2.exe"

They behave slightly differently; see which one you like.

You can add launch parameters to either. I like -nointro:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 227300 -nointro

substitute 270880 for ATS
