Display issues
I've just downloaded the demo to check the game out. I've never really played something like this before, so I thought it would be a nice change for me. Anyway, I am currently having display issues with the game. I run the game like normal through Steam, but the game doesn't display at all but I can hear it running in the background. I've read on a couple of topics to change the display to 1280x720 or something like that, reconfigure within the game and then revert everything back with your display settings. So i did that and I'm still having the same issue. Can someone help me please?

Sounds like your computer don't fill game requests

My computer seems to run it fine if I tone down some settings. All I'm having is this one issue.

Last time I looked at the demo, it was running on a very old version of the game which is really in no way representative of what it has become.

I would say just buy the game, you will not be disappointed.

Especially with steam refund, you really can't go wrong.

I've bought the game, as I've enjoyed the demo and I'm still having the same issue,

Jamie, if can you ALT-TAB over to the window when this is happening and see the game? (Even if it then goes away?)
Also, what graphics card are you using and are you running the game in Dx or Ogl ?

I've tried Alt-tabbing it and it doesn't work. The game is running though as I can hear it. I am using an Nvidia GeForce GT 730. And I'm running the game through the standard "Launch Euro Truck Simulator 2" option.

You should use 64-bit game especially with mods if you have 64-bit windows.
Edit: launch steam, go your games, ets2, right click and choose 64-bit

Why with mods? That shouldn't be necessary. I will try the 64-bit version, at least.

Tried the 64-bit version. Same issue.

Have you tried explicitly starting with directx or opengl? Or safe mode for that matter (all of which should be accessible by right clicking app in steam)

Reset all settings in ETS2 option pages, close everything and even restart your computer. If it continues download right operating system drivers to your graphic card and try to uninstall graphic card driver, restart computer and install graphic cards drivers again.

Okay, it works with Open GL. My new question is this. Why won't it work with any of the other options?
