About Tome II...and coop mode... / À propos du Tome du mode coopératif...
Hi all!
First of all, a BIG thank you to everyone who's played our game! From the looks of it, it seems like a lot of poeple are enjoying the game, and we are getting a lot of positive comments!

Now, a lot of people have been asking questions about DLC content, or a sequel, so we figured that we could give you a rough idea on what we have in mind for the Tome II.

For those who finished the first Tome, we left you on a pretty steep "hanger"... So, In the second Tome of Sang-Froid, we'll learn more about what happened with Boann O'Carroll. Also, you will actually defend, not just your land, but also other farms around Wolvesvale (and some every other nights, the village itself!). We don't want to spoil too much of the story here, but let's just say that we have good ideas for the storyline!

Of course, there will be new traps and a LOT of new items. What we would like to try is the ability to buy an irish wolfhound and actually train him to fight wolves and werewolves. The dog would defend a certain zone that you decide during the day phase, but you could also whistle and he would move to your location to defend that new zone; so it would be like a trap that you can move during the night (and he could also boost your personnal fear factor a little bit...).

Anyway, these are just ideas, but there again, we have a bunch of stuff already!

Oh yeah, one last thing...
Did we mention COOP? We heard you ;-) Actually, it was already planned that if we were to release a Tome II, it would support a campaign coop-mode (and maybe more modes); but still, it would provide a rich single player experience like the first Tome.

Of course, none of this is "final" as we are still juggling with many ideas, but that's what we are aiming for for the sequel.

If you really liked Tome I and want to give us a hand making this happen, here's what you can do : talk about the game ;-) There's a couple of ways you can help :

1- If you have a Gamespot account, PcGamer, Indiegamemag, G4, Metacritic, Ign, RockPaperShotgun, or any other big game forum, post a comment about your experience playing the game. Review it! What did you like? What did you dislike?

2- Simply like our facebook page at

3- For those who want to do even more : mention the game on your facebook status or in a tweet with the link to the Steam page. Or you can link our official trailer ; or even our gameplay trailer; that would really give us a hand!

4 - When it will come out, be sure to check out our new game called CONFLICKS - Revolutionary Space Battles! It's a mix between a physics-based game and a RTS, but with spaceships, clones and chickens! You can see the teaser here : ! If you could help us by sharing the trailer on social networks, that would be INCREDIBLY APPRECIATED!

That's it!
Thanks everyone for all your support!

2- Aimez notre page facebook

Sounds absolutely fantastic! :)

Very much enjoying the game and looking forward to the coop-mode.

Oh man, the ability to get a wolfhound to guard an area? That sounds awesome! Though i think a pack of them might make a bit more sense cause, personally i can't see an Irish wolfhound taking on a grand werewolf but thats just me.

Sounds absolutely fabulous! But as a feature request please consider a mode where it's also possible to place the enemy spawn points on the map by yourself to add a huge amount of replay value. That would be great!

The best game I've played will get even better when Tome II comes out. I look forward to it!
Suggestion: Horde mode. One house, endless swarms, survive as long as you can. Intervals where you can refresh traps, buy new ammo. Would work well for Tome II when co-op mode is introduced. What would be more awesome than standing next to your brother facing off against swarms and swarms of wolves, werewolves, maikans and whatnot?

In all seriousness though, this game is superb. I'm going on a bunch of review sites to write great reviews to coerce people into buying this, because it's a fantastic game. As mentioned before, besides the fixed waves which are always the same, a sort of randomized element would be awesome, next to a story mode of course.

I absolutely love this game. I finished the normal campaign with Jos, and now i've moved on to Jacques. Really excellent game, but there are a few suggestions I will make. First, it'd be cool if you could upgrade your basic attack in your skill tree, as as much as I enjoy the combat and find it feels really good, a little bit more variation would be cool and I think a charge attack would be most righteous. Second, it'd be interesting to expand what you could bless so that you could enhance certain traps, like balista's, for instance, and maybe your rifle (albeit for a great cost). Third, for a new trap you could dig a pit, which you could then enhance with something like a spike trap or explosive barrel but for extra AP. Fourth, it'd be awesome to have quick, throwable items that do less damage but can be used quickly in advantageous moments, such as a molotov whiskey bottle or a tomahawk. The last thing I can think of ATM is the presentatoin and voice acting itself. I think you're aware that the majority of the voice acting is....basic, to be polite. I thought the person who did the Mayor/Tutorial videos was great and Satan was alright, but the rest was sort-of randomly attrocious. It's a small thing, the gameplay is the most important to a real gamer, but it would help your sales greatly if the edges of the presentation weren't so rough. Other than that, I love the characters (even with the voice acting, which I find occasionally entertaining if nothing else), I love the setting and I really, whole-heartedly love your game. Thank you, and have an excellent day.

Thanks for all the feedback, you've got some cool ideas!

Great job with this game, sounds like perfect ideas for part 2!
Coop just seems like a perfect fit for this game. Also the feature to have a dog help out sounds great to! Keep up the good work!

I haven't bought the game yet, but from the description and the trailer I thought it would be Co-Op game (two brothers :) ) but was disappointed to see that it only is single player (will still buy it though). Happy to hear that a Co-Op is on its way!

Rather than the Irish hound, I would love to see the ability for your brother to join you in the fight, defending a certain zone. Or if you were in the village, some Voltigeurs or Coureur des bois help you out - in keeping with French Canadian folklore.

The idea of some help would is an excellent idea!

I haven't played in English yet, but the voice acting seemed really well done in French, so use those actors if you can get them back.

mais, j'ai hâte quand même.

Oh, I haven't been around the SF-ToW discussions since it first showed up on Steam. I'm looking forward to Tome II. Adding the hound would make enough characters for 4 player co-op. The brothers, their sister and the hound.

I'd like to see something done to improve wolves. In Tome I they were just trap fodder. I'd like to actually fight them. Maybe have them ambush the player randomly to slow them down.

Cool cool. And game could ely use not only coop but something like endless mode :P

Coöp = insta-buy for me. Especially if it's split-screen / LAN.
Zwentibold Jun 20, 2013 @ 8:35pm
Seems nice... do not care much for coop tough, ruin the kind of survival feeling in my opinion. I hope u don't spend too much of your ressources in it.

The irish wolfhound thing seems great, especially if she's as nice and cudly (caline? douce?) as my "little" one... Would ruin the historical setting tough, the first lévrier irlandais dating from late 19th... in britain... with an other name it's great.
