Observation on bolt behavior

My system stutters due to integrated graphics, gets may be 25 frames, so I am a terrible crossbow shot which segues to my point. I regularly visit the gold deposits near Castle Forest and notice that my crossbow bolts from the days prior persist on return. There is one archer on a raised platform at the beach that you cannot reach unless you build a stairs, there is about 2 dozen of my bolts imbedded in the tower that I can't retrieve.

Behavior seems consistent throughout the game as after a night raid I collect my bolts out of the beach sand and systematically speaking simpler to program objects without an additional qualifier.
