Worth buying ?
Is this game worth the money ?
I enjoy sandbox games a lot, like Minecraft. I realy like Space Engineers.
What's the focus here, combat, exploration, ship building ?
Would you say I will like this ?

Thanks for your question. Although I am obviously biased, I'll try to give you a more indepth answer than "YES BUY IT WE'RE AWESOME!"...although that may just be enough reason in and of itself ;)

Kinetic Void is currently in Early Access, meaning we're not done creating our masterpiece, yet. However, we are pushing consistent updates out to our users and create videos at least once each update to show what we're working on.

I have a Tutorials thread on our General Discussion page you can refer to, otherwise I put all of our videos on our YouTube Channel here:

Shipbuilding is the core component of our game right now, check out the Workshop to see some of the ships others have created. And yes, you can subscribe to those ships you like and use them in game, change them (local save file will update, not the original Workshop file) etc.

Combat is still being fleshed out, primarily because factions aren't warring with eachother, yet :) One of our programmers is actually working on that this patch.

Exploration is pretty straight forward, but once we have more content in the sectors, it'll feel more full of content.

We are different from Minecraft in that you're not crafting a world around you, you're crafting your ship and using it to move around space.

I hope that answers your questions a bit, and I'm sure a few of our other forum members will jump in as well.

Thank you for your answer Kaypix :)
I've watched some videos and decided to wait, I was disappointed by early-access before and it just seems to be too early in development for this to not feel like a gamble. I wish you best of luck with development and I'll be sure to check it out in the future.

I highly recommend this game. It's pretty solid for an early access, the devs are very involved with the community, and they have regular updates.

Some early acess titles are released too early and barely work. But this game works very well, and the ship builder is a lot of fun.

My question is how much of a game is it right now? Not to start making comparisons, but the reason I decided not to buy Space Engineers was because there is not much of a game there. You're just a guy in the middle of a rather dull endless field of asteroids, build stuff.

This game looks interesting but I wonder how much is there to it. I'm an old Frontier Elite II fan and even that game at times seemed aimless. I guess what I'm saying is what I want from these space games is a little more structure and a lot more character interaction and space politics.
