Galactic Civilizations III: Fall 2018 updates
First off, let me begin by saying that I'm very sad that Summer is nearly over.

Second, as many of you know, all of the Stardock game teams have been focused on getting Star Control: Origins prepped and ready for release next week:

There's a lot of really cool "stuff" in there that we will be bringing over to Galactic Civilizations. And this stuff will be part of a FREE update series this Fall.

Here are a few of the things we expect to have out to you this Fall:

1. Updated battle scenes. This is purely cosmetic but it doesn't make sense to not bring over some of the cool effects tech we developed to make ship combat more visually interesting.

2. General user interface improvements. This is mainly going to be making the UI just...better. We're not going to throw out what we have but rather make it a bit more accessible.

3. VO. There will likely be some voice over (optional) added in along with some advisor tech added.

4. Balance. Balance. Balance. We're going to cheat on this a little bit. Rather than try to retcon balance, we are going to have more civilization customization features that allow players to customize the gameplay they want through their custom civs.

For example, farming and food production. If implemented under the new system, you'd be able to customize how food was produced via your civ rather than a game-wide change.

Any chance to spruce up visuals in general? It always felt a little sad to me seeing the tiny visual options in the menu, game looks fine and all but if you guys had any little extra effects to optionally toss in that'd be interesting.

and pls fix the intrigue-commonwealths - as they are now a new commonwealth always gets a "i beg for war in the next turn"-tag.
also the ship-roles for the new ships are not implemented. You really should take care of your newest expansion to get better reviews, and, in the end, more money for the following things.

Newest expansion? LOL
The roles for these new "planet booster ships" should have been introduced with expac 1 (Mercenaries) when they introduced these for the first time.....which was years ago. You never see the AI pick these types of mercs from the bazzar ever....cause they have no clue what they are.

Yea, generally a material/lighting update is what we have planned.

Yep, I like how animated the planets look and how lively space looks in the background of everything. Especially how colorful the colors are if that makes sense. Breaks up the darkness of space.

Keep up the great work Brad!

I love Stardock so much and your style in game making has always been my favorite. After playing GalCiv 3 for awhile, I played some Sorceror King and have just got back into Fallen Enchantress Legendary Heroes. I had almost forgotten how much I enjoy that game...makes me wonder why I ever stopped playing it in the first place, lol.

Looking forward to Star Control and the fall updates for GalCiv 3, I can hardly wait!

Eagerly awaiting updates - Stardock rules!

Been away from game for a while due to work, but gonna get into it again as the weather darkens and temperature drops.

Love that you keep this game growing and it gets better and better.

We all need a warm cuppa GalCiv in the autumn - thx for that!
