How does WarZ compare to other MMOs?

Advertised as a "Survival Horror MMO", let's discuss how WarZ compares to other Massively Multiplayer Online games.

Some ideas include community, crafting, character skill system and progression, ect.

It's a pvp mindless festival, kill people, take loot, and bring back to safezone, no missions, no skills, only shoot on sight. Waste of money.

The term MMO is starting to turn into multiplayer game with a lot of players in one match. I remember reading some article that called Battlefield 3 and Team Fortress 2 MMO's. It's like the term indie, its meaning is slowly starting to fade due to idiotic misuse.

This game was intended to have a skill system with some sort of progression, from what I've read. That has since been removed from the description of the game. Apart from that, there isn't anything that would indicate that this game is an "MMO" in the traditional sense. The closest comparison would be to Planetside 2, which is an MMO FPS that can handle a vastly larger number of players per server in a much larger open world.

War Z is not something I would consider an MMO, but it also isn't a traditional fps. There isn't an explanation for what genre it is without getting into a lot of detail/explanation so I think they decided to use a term that people are more familiar with at the cost of accuracy. So.... marketing...
