Not to mention, by the way, that Arma is a fantastic game on its own even without Day Z, and since I've reinstalled it(to see how DayZ was coming along, disliked it again, and stopped) I've been playing it daily now.
That's exactly why i said don't quote me in the text. I'd like to have more information on it but i have only seen 1 article about it up to now but no, I don't have a source, this is just a friend who keeps a keen eye on things as they develop with both the War Z and the Day Z.
I have only just had my 2nd Game on the Day Z this mornining and the only thing I don't like about it is the motion blur when you are low on health, i was also fortunate enough to be able to log onto a server with a population of 0 and start with an axe so even there, there are 2 advantages over the War Z that I enjoyed.
The value of the pack is exactly the point of the thread though, when people say buy the War Z cos it's only *** dollars, if you think about it, the offers you can get with Arma 2 are so much better if you are patient. It just makes me wonder why anyone would buy the War Z and then defend it too the hilt. The only reason I can see is that they are either completely loyal to the War Z and Hammerpoint, or haven't played The Day Z yet.
Perhaps the free DayZ that the OP is talking about is reallly a option to install the not special retail version much like how HL2 mods are on Steam with likely a option to turn it into retail. Though this is the first time I've heard of such.
