I've got sometimes non-deterministic results with yellow cubes, like in case 'I pause game by moving some cube after ball hits yellow cube' and in case 'I just watch simulation round not moving any cubes' I was getting different ball trajectories... Maybe something related to pause or physics deltaTime...
One of the few things I'd like added is a button to quick restart. Some solutions take a fair few bounces before it goes out and with the tiny tweaks you sometimes need I don't want to adjust something just to make it fail quicker. A quick press of "R" or something to just reset would be nice.
And while I liked the portal mechanic I can't say I was the biggest fan of the animation of the ball vanishing. Not sure on what I would rather see as the visual but with how clean and crisp everything else was it felt...off. Maybe just the same one but quicker or a fast fadeout or something.
Looking forward to more content.
Beating each act is fine for achievements but some misc ones could be cool to force us to do some really creative solutions (could be tied to specific levels or just any) like; more then x bounces, first block touched also needs to be touched last or beat a level with adjusting 50% or less of the blocks.
Thanks for your message, I really appreciate your feedback. A quick restart is a great idea and I'll try some other animation options for the teleport block to see if I can create something less jarring. I also agree that I could add some more variety with the achievements on offer. I'll come up with some more challenges for the next update.
Thanks again!
turns out, it's definitely not for me, basically trial & error: the game (so I sent the offer back), but even if it was, I wouldn't be able to recommend it because there's no individual level select and mid-act progress doesn't get saved either. quit on the 3rd level, had to start over next time.
settings should also be available while playing, in the pause menu, and subtle level numbers somewhere (at the very least in the pause menu) would be necessary too.
I'm glad there's no mandatory on-screen timer though, even if completion time is being tracked, based on the level select screen.
Thanks for your honest feedback, no problem at all if the game isn't for you. I still massively appreciate the time you've taken to send some great feedback.
I fully take on board your points about not being able to continue from midway through a level being a point of frustration. And I admit I should ensure that the settings are available from the pause menu. I'll add these points to the backlog and put them in place for a future update.
Thanks again for trying the demo!
