How to report a problem
Hello everyone


This thread is to help provide instructions for reporting bugs and troubleshooting common issues.
Before posting any problems that you have, please first :
1. Check all of the information on this page to resolve the issue
2. Use the “Search discussions” box to ensure your bug hasn't already been reported.
3. Double check the Solved Problems forum to ensure that your bug hasn't already been addressed.
If it has been included in the forums already, then please feel free to post in that existing thread to add your supporting information/DxDiag.

If you've found a bug that’s not been reported yet, then please start a new thread in this sub forum using the template below:

OVERVIEW:
A brief description of the issue.

STEPS:
The steps required to reliably recreate the issue.
e.g.
1. Launch the game
2. Select Single Player
3. etc.

RESULT:
A description of what will happen after following the steps.

EXPECTED RESULT:
A description of what you expect to happen.


SYSTEM INFORMATION:

To help us understand your bug, it would be very useful if we could see the system specs for your machine. Gathering and providing this information varies depending on the system type that you are using. For PC, Mac and Linux, please find the steps below:

Windows PC
1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R, the Run dialog should appear > Type dxdiag in the available text field > Click OK
2. Click Save All Information > Save the file DxDiag.txt to your Desktop so it is easy to find
3. Open the .txt file, copy all the contents > Paste all the contents to a free text hosting service such as http://textuploader.com or http://freetexthost.com
4. Copy the link to your text and add under the SYSTEM INFORMATION section of your bug.


Linux
1. Run 'Hardinfo'
(If you do not have Hardinfo - "sudo apt-get install hardinfo")
2. Click 'Generate Report'
3. Paste all information to a free text hosting service such as http://textuploader.com or http://freetexthost.com
4. Copy the link to your text and add under the SYSTEM INFORMATION section of your bug.


Mac OSX
1. Expand the Apple Menu by clicking the Apple icon in the top left of the screen
2. Select About This Mac
3. Copy the information provided into your SYSTEM INFORMATION section
4. Ideally, this information would be provided with confirmation that your system has been fully updated and the exact system model if known


MINIMUM SPEC

In all instances, we would like to recommend that you please confirm your system meets the minimum specifications for this game. These are as follows:


Windows PC

Operating System: Windows XP, Vista, 7
Processor: 1.25GHz AMD Athlon or Intel equivalent
Memory: 1GB
Graphics: 128MB Video Card (GeForce4 or equivalent card)
DirectX®: DirectX® 9 or above
Hard Drive: 2063MB
Sound: DirectX® 9.0c-compliant sound card
Other Requirements: Internet connection required

Mac OSX

OS: OS X version 10.6 or later.
Processor:1.83GHz Intel Core Duo or better
Memory: 1GB
Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 8600, Radeon X1600 or better
Hard Drive: 2.7GB


Linux

Distro: Major Linux Distributions from 2010
Processor: 2Ghz+ CPU
Memory: 1GB
Graphics: OpenGL 2.1+ capable graphics card
Hard Drive: 3GB
Other Requirements: Internet connection required


Verify integrity of game cache

If you are having problems getting the game to launch or you are experiencing random crashes, it might be that the game did not install correctly or that some of your local game data has become corrupt. Please use Steam’s validation check at least twice as it can sometimes, incorrectly, report no problems on its first pass.

1. Load Steam
2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
5. Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.


Update your Graphics Drivers

Visit your graphic card manufacturers' website to locate, download and install the latest available drivers. In some instances, you may be required to locate manufacturer specific drivers. Should this be the case, please manually locate your system model on the official Downloads and Drivers site for your manufacturer. Please note that these can often be a few revisions behind the reference driver.

For help on updating your drivers, please follow the appropriate steps below depending on your card manufacturer.


Windows PC

ATI/AMD Driver Update
1. Go to http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/auto_detect.aspx
2. Install ‘AMD Driver Autodetect’ application.
3. Select yes on to allow application to run if prompt appears.
4. Select ‘Download Now’ and follow the steps to install the driver.
5. Restart your computer, if necessary after installation of drivers.

NVIDIA Driver Update
1. Go to http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
2. Select ‘Graphics Drivers’ on option 2.
3. Give permission for java to run.
4. Give permission for GPU_Reader to run.
5. If the tool finds that you need to update your drivers, follow the instructions to install.
6. If the tool is unable to evaluate your system, please go back to http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us and manually select your graphics card information via option 1.

Intel Driver Update
1. Go to http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx?lang=eng
2. Select the ‘Continue’ button underneath ‘Intel® Driver Update Utility’
3. Select the button in the centre of the screen titled ‘Check your system for the latest updates’.
4. Give permission to run Java.
5. Give permission to run Java plug-in ‘SysReqLab.cab’ (or System Requirement Lab).
6. Download any new versions of drivers for your Intel graphics card.

Integrated graphics
Some graphical issues can be caused by the game running through integrated Intel graphics cards as opposed to high-performance NVIDIA/ATI cards.

If you want to run the game through your dedicated graphics card, you will need to refer to your computers manufacturer’s documents or instructions if you are unsure on how to do this, or contact the manufacturer directly if you do not have these documents. Please be aware that this process can be different with each machine. Below are some sites that you may find useful:

Mac OSX

1. Expand the Apple Menu by clicking the Apple icon in the top left of the screen
2. Select Software Update
3. Proceed to install all available updates


Linux

For NVidia cards:
Ubuntu 12.04: System Settings > Additional Drivers
Ubuntu 12.10: System Settings > Software Sources > Additional Drivers
Ubuntu 13.04: System Settings > Software & Updates > Additional Drivers

Once you have navigated as above, you will be presented with a closed source driver list, including recommendations.
Please select and download the appropriate drivers where necessary.

For AMD cards:

i am using on osx 10.8. worms used to work fine on my computer, but the past four times i've used it, the game got as far as the Team 17 logo before completely crashing my machine :( i would love to continue to explode worms if this is an issue someone knows anything about?

Hey there, Worms Reloaded does not support cross-platform play. Any games that support this feature will list 'Cross-Platform Multiplayer' in the right-hand store information panel. There's a list of games which feature cross-platform multiplayer here: http://store.steampowered.com/search/?os=mac&category1=998&category2=27#category1=998&category2=27&advanced=0&sort_order=ASC&page=1.

I am having problems with running this game. I think it is just a resolution problem but it is not allowing me to start the game using -windowed. Any suggestions? As of now it shows about 1/4 of the game screen and messes with my mouse cursor.
