Game isn't that much easier they just removed Stun
Title is sarcasm, but yeah has anyone else noticed stun is basically gone in Wilds?

Most of the people discussing difficulty are comparing this to World, which in my opinion had way more BS designed with the sole intention to cart you. You are likely still getting hit by attacks just as often as you were in World, and receiving similar levels of damage from monster attacks. They just removed the punishment for getting hit a lot.

I'm approaching 80hrs in Wilds and I was hunting a tempered when my character for some reason did not roll when he got up, instead he stood there in a daze. I wasn't sure what happened until it hit me, "oh I'm stunned... WAIT I'M STUNNED?!?" Yeah I honestly had forgotten that getting stunned was a thing that could happen, because in 80hrs it happened one time to me, and guess what? I carted from it, yay!

Looking back on World footage, you can see people getting stunned so often, at least once a hunt. It was almost guaranteed you would be dead from being stunned, because you were likely already at low health from the hit that stunned you. In Wilds there have been countless times where my health dips is in the red after getting hit by a big attack and I need to chug a potion. I can only imagine how many times I would have carted by now if I had actually been stunned after any of those big attacks that put me in the red.

I think the near complete removal of stun is actually one of the main reasons why this game feels so much easier, in fact most of the other blights can largely be ignored as well because Palico just swoops in and either heals you or cures the blight and heals you anyways with a purewasp.

As much as getting stunned pissed me off in World, it was one of the few things propping up the difficulty of that game lol.

Ever heard of anti stun deco?
Also I think it's because the max hp is 150 in this game. MHW had a max hp of 200 by optionally slotting in vitality jewels, which therefore could have been balanced with that in mind

stun is in the game, its resistance is also on a low rank armor set which you can check for yourself

there is just a lot of ways to stall out a fight now, so you recover more

To add to this, if you are stunned, paralyzed, or similar, you can call over your mongoliensis to pick you up, and if it is available, it will break you out of the animation getting you to safety... hopefully.

vitality jewels exist in MHWilds, and the max is still 200 hp.
They dont?

where...? level 101 myself and watched multiple streamers and not a single sign of a vitality jewel...
I have seen no vitality jewels. I don't think there is a way to go beyond 150 HP.

Sorry I may have forgot to be more clear. I know that stun is in the game, title is sarcasm it's just so rare to be affected by it, that it may as well not exist. 80hrs of gameplay and I just now got stunned for the first time?

In World stun happens at least once a hunt if I recall, it's way more often.
