Global "cancel jobs" for terraforming command?
I have a tendency in these sorts of games to queue up a lot of jobs before the previous batch of jobs is finished. On my latest map there are terraforming jobs all over the place, mining, etc...the map looks pretty yellow.

Unfortunately I must have set up a mining job that prevents my gnomes from digging. At all. I'm looking for and cancelling all work that's not being immediately produced, but on the 3d map and the size of it it's taking a while.

Are there any ways to do bulk cancelling, or even cancel-all on commands? I know and use the cancel job X but when you're dealing with a mountain you need to use it on every level. Teeeeeeedius.

I do plan out all my "mining" and base, before i even unpause the game the first time. If your miners can't reach a job they won't carry out said job.

So them not "reaching" a job doesn't prevent them from doing other work they can reach. That is how the game is set up.

The only thing that could prevent them from digging at a job they can reach is if for some reason they no longer have pickaxes. Like when you them into a military squad and do not account for the fact that their uniform should include pickaxes, but make them carry a shield and another weapon. Then they no longer have the ability to mine.

Or of course selling or smelting said pickaxes.. or them being stolen by a Goblin Raider and carried off the map.

And there is a cancle designation. It cancles all jobs within the "drag".

I guess what happened is that they all dropped their pickaxes after doing random jobs; semi-addressed the issue by making a stack of axes.

Gnomes are not able to "stand" on a ramp, so if they have a job that would require them to stand on a ramp (f.e. build a wall on the block the ramp leads up to) they will try to go there, fail and open the job up for another gnome. This can lead to nothing being done at all as the gnomes take turns trying the faulty job.
