Set Specifc monitor
I need to keep my default monitor as one, but id like NV to run on the secondary monitor. anyone know how to force this without changing the monitors role from secondary to primary?

Seems as if just no one wanted to help you sadly. I don't know how to fix this problem but hopefully someone else can help good luck! I know how it feels to have unresolved questions that never get answered.

The internet is filled with unhelpful comments and non-answers to this simple question. After coming back to this problem and searching and tinkering a dozen times, I found the way to make NV run at full screen on the secondary monitor by default. It works on my Windows 7 laptop with an external monitor, so hopefully it will work on your computer too.

Run FalloutNVLauncher.exe
Click Options
Click the second item in the Graphics Adapter dropdown list
Adjust the resolution settings to match the second monitor
Click OK

The not-so-obvious and undocumented thing to notice is that there are 2 items in the Graphics Adapter dropdown listbox, both of which are identically named. Apparently, choosing the second one selects the same graphics adapter, but to be used on the second monitor.

well old topic but maybe help someone. run in window mode with border.. this can be tricky, but grab the window from the title bar, and move to monitor you want it on. Close the game. Now reset it up to be full screen or borderless window or how ever you play... it will now always open on that screen, Windows will open things on the last screen they were closed on.. first time they open its default monitor.

just go into your FalloutPrefs.ini and change iAdapter = 1
0 is first monitor, 1 is second monitor, 2 is third monitor.

If you dont know where the .ini is located its usually C:\Users\[your username]\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV

For anyone using Mod Organizer 2 (perhaps with Viva New Vegas), you have to do this in your "ini editor" by clicking the puzzle pieces at the top and going to falloutprefs.ini tab.
