or that NVSE does not function?
I found my trouble was solved when I uninstalled, deleted my files and purged the registry of FONV, after a fresh install it ran fine.
NVSE doesn't function. I can load Fallout NV through Steam, and so far the mods seem to work. When I check for the NVSE (console command getNVSEVersion, it gives me "NVSE version: 4" The website says it should say "NVSE version: 1" so I'm not sure how bad this is.
The window says Steam Error. I'm not too computer-savvy. I know how to uninstall, but what files did you delete and what do you mean by purged the registry? When I reinstall any modded games it seems to include the mods with the game.
you are good to go
NV has to load through steam,no matter how you launch afaik
Okay, I didn't remember how it loaded before, so I thought I had to run it through the nvse_loader.exe
Although, I was using NVSE (+ FNV 4GB) fine prior to then, it is only during today that I am having the same problem...I can load the game via steam fine, but playing via any of the executables (including vanilla) witin the games directory always results in the application load error.
Jfc man! I've just spent like 4 hours trying every solution under the sun, re-installing everything with Steam included, and THIS is what finally fixed it.
THANK YOU :D
