Bethesda seems to hate New Vegas
If you play Fallout Shelter you'll notice there is absolutely no New Vegas weapons or gear. If you go on bethesda's store you'll find a small limited amount of New Vegas clothes like an NCR shirt and an NCR hand bag out of over 20 Fallout 3 ♥♥♥♥ in the store. Every fallout POP figure is based off a Fallout 3 character.

I realize bethesda just gave New Vegas to obsidian out of pity and that they were too lazy to make their own "spin off" but come on bethesda show some support here.

There is a ♥♥♥♥ ton of Nuka Cola shirts based off Fallout 3's version of Nuka Cola but not one Sunset Sarsparilla shirt.

Not really hate, more like purposefully ignoring it. Partly because the average Fallout 3 fan does the same.

I was going to say NCR came from Fallout 2, but then I realized we were talking about Fallout 3 fans.

I tend not to worry about such things, especially when considering that Fallout Shelter exists.

I'm aware NCR came from Fallout 2 but we are talking about Bethesda here. Obviously any NCR shirt off their store is because of New Vegas. Don't talk down to me like I don't know where NCR came from. The vault dweller from Vault 13 helped Shady Sands and when NCR developed you'll see a statue of the Vault 13 dweller.

There is plenty of Brotherhood shirts off Bethesda's store but we all know it's not based off Fallout 1's brotherhood from the west.

The sugar bombs shirt is based off cereal which can also be found in New Vegas but we all know they only made the shirt because of Fallout 3. If it were a type of cereal only found in New Vegas they wouldn't have bothered.

They ignore new Vegas because fallout 3 doesn't stand up to it, quality wise.

All this accomplishes is making them look childish.

Yep, I've played both and I prefer New Vegas over 3 100%. I wish they'd make a sequel in the West as in my opinion lorewise the area is far more in depth.

They already began removing as many blackisle/obsidian features as they could for Fallout 4.

Fallout 4 removes skills

It was bad enough Fallout 3 removed traits and New Vegas had to add them back in.

Instead of Rogue BOS, generic evil super mutants and muh enclave

Fallout New Vegas you have a nomadic Roman styled army, a failing republic and a gambling city state all at eachothers throats.

Bethesda also promised Obsidian a bonus if they reached 85% on metacritic. New Vegas reached 84% so they didn't recieve royalties. Any sensible company would have just rounded that ♥♥♥♥ up.

Instead people at Obsidian ended up getting laid off and Bethesda pissed off Obsidian. bethesda sat around collecting all the royalties from New Vegas and Obsidian only got a one time payment of crap.

It's called a contract.
My friend today on a science test was 1 mark off the top mark but didn't get it, life is just bs.

Seems to me you made this thread just to rant about Bethesda and not anything else.

The score would have been higher than 84% if Bethesda didn't force Obsidian to relase the game too soon.

Bethesda is known for not caring with how many bugs they know they currently have with a game such as the PITT which eventually got taken down for too many bugs.

Maybe they shouldn't have taken them up on that deal. More importantly, maybe they should have put some pressure on Bethesda to actually do their promised Q&A, so the game didn't require a solid year of bug fixes and patching.

But then again, they did trust BETHESDA to take care of their bugs for them, when Bethesda can't even fix bugs in their own games.

Either way, it's old history now. It was a bad deal, but they accepted it. The game didn't get the necessary metacritic points, no bonus for Obsidian, but years later, it's still a far better game than fallout 3, and will likely become very relevant again when fallout 4 launches.

Nope because fallout 4 is apparently a few months after fallout 3. So I'm assuming fallout 4 is going to continue on with this brotherhood being the good guys crap. Will have no relation to past fallout games but 3.

Well you got my point across regarding the deal way better, maybe they just really wanted to make a Fallout game again (I do think that the devs care more about the world of Fallout than how the game plays).

And all Fallouts are relevant because of Fallout 4, Bethesda made that bundle thing with all those games because of it. Loads of people are hyped and want to go back to the reason they are hyped.
