IMPORTANT UPDATE INFO HERE ON USING THESE KEYS IN STEAM

http://steamcommunity.com/app/223750/discussions/0/540743757418142547/

These modules can be activated on Steam or used in the DCS World stand-alone, For Steam keys there can be a delay in uploading the new keys to the SteamDB (it's usually done once per month).

FC3 is accept on steam ?
I doubt my translation of the phrase on the forum ... >_<

line > (Prior to 1.2.7, 1.2.7 and Above Will allow FC3 to Link with Steam).

Yes, Flaming Cliffs 3 is now available on Steam, with no prerequisites, and you can use the bought from ED key on Steam too. Before DCS version 1.2.7 this was not the case, but happily there are no longer any restrictions (it used to be a licensing issue with Ubisoft from many years ago).

Do remember that there can be some delay in activating a ED purchased key in Steam, as the keys are uploaded manually to the Steam key service in batches. You can always use your key in stand-alone DCS World, but sometimes people get disappointed about any delay for Steam activation, so I just want to give a fair warning :D:

Another $50 gone. At least I know it's well spent. I'm enjoying A10C right now, Huey next. Then I can move on to todays' purchase...FC3 (mainly for F15C), then P51, then BlackShark 2. Good stuff.

I think it will eventually, they said somewhere that they update the keys for steam once a month. You just have to wait.

Thankfully, I activated all my keys without problems. Was afraid I'm going to encounter that feature.

Apparently key merging is ending soon. I was wondering how long that could continue as it would make no business-sense for Valve to distribute content for which they don't get cut of the sales..

On the other hand, if that needs manual work to do the merge it's just pointless and time-consuming task and what the store should be doing automatically instead of someone using time on that periodically.

For those who didn't see it and don't read the stickies. Kazreal pointed it out but i'm just quoting the sticky.

"7 June 2014

Dear all,

We learned from Valve/Steam that they will be unable to continue merging DCS keys purchased outside of the Steam Store. As such and as of today, please note that any keys purchased outside of the Steam Store can no longer be used to activate DCS products on Steam.

We will be working with Steam to merge all keys purchased prior to today. We can make no promises as to when or if this will happen though… that is out of our hands.

Thanks"
