Fallout GOTY Will NOT launch from Steam

Title says it all. I have no mods atm, I redownloaded the game so I could maybe play the tale of two wastelands mod. I started both NV and FO3 up just to make sure they work. NV did but FO3 will have the initial pop up. I hit play, and give it about 5 seconds steam will change from "Running" to "Start" indicating the game shut off.

Any advice? I am fairly ignorant when it comes to PC anything. Be gentle

It started to work. as in the window actually popped up (black screen) but unfortunately it almost immediately closed itself

Also just uninstalled and reinstalled, no dice sadly

I have been trying to get this game to work on win10 for years, never had any luck no mater what fix i found and tryt to use. For some it runs fine others need todo some tweaking and then agian there is a group where it just does not run at all period. You might get it to run eventually but its going to take a pretty amount of effort to get it going if at all.
