thank you agian
I've done 4gb patch, Unofficial Update, FOSE (didnt apply 4GB Patch to it, it crashed more), also used NVAC as It seems to load correctly and helps. Also did some fallout.ini tweaks, I think it helped further.
This game is much more glitchier than New Vegas, but I can get an hour or two play time, with mods, without any crashes.
Mind you I tested many installs and steps, this is what works best for me.
However, this game has a mind of its own in terms of crashing. I also get 5 minutes crash sometimes. To me its like, when it decides to load smoothly, it will, but many tweaks help guide it.
Important is 4GB Patch, FOSE+NVAC, Unofficial Patch, .ini tweaks:
bUseThreadedAI=1
iNumHWThreads=2
That is important as it allows the game to use the CPU Thread amount you have. (ThreadedAI Enables MultipleThreads while HWThreads is your thread amount. I've read keep it at 1 if you are crashing.)
I am also using FOMM, and FOSE runs appropriately running scripts while allowing Steam Overlay still.
Finally, there's ALOT of .ini tweaks, which I think helped a lot. I'm on a clunker laptop, this game is POORLY optimized, so I turned a lot of LOD down and grass/shadows off. Cheers, hope this helps.
