How to drop plants?

This is probably the most ridiculous thing to ask, but I figured out cartography and the likes right away, I just can't seem to figure out how to drop a plant in my left hand.

I must be blind to not see it I suppose. Thanks in advance.

crouch and look at the ground... an icon will appear with a down arrow

I couldn't figure this out either! I just kept walking around with flowers I couldn't drop.... hoping I would fall off a rock and drop them. Thanks for the tip!

It's all part of the magic of Miasmata. Half of the game is working out what you can do. I remember the time I figured out how to throw something... I was like "YESSS!" :)

You can fall off something high to drop whatever you're holding, yes, but I wouldn't recommend it! As soon as you start swimming, whatever you're carrying will be dropped in the water too. If it's not a rock, it will float and you can pick it up again if it's not too far from shore.
