Rallying people to play on Oceanic
It's extremely galling that such an amazing game like Forge has such a vicious cycle of empty servers promoting more empty servers. I haven't played a single game since the week or two after F2P (i'm oceanic) since it's always empty. Is it possible for the Forge facebook to post a status at dedicated times encouraging people to play Oceanic? There's a decent number of oceanic players, but not enough for there to be playable servers. We need some sort of device to get players to play at the same time.

I'd love some insight or cooperation with the devs in this matter, as I pre-ordered and have encouraged 6~ people to also pre-order but it's just not playable at the moment.

(Playing on US or EU isn't much fun in a game like Forge)

Sure, what time would you like us to post it? Can you give the time in EST time to make sure we get it right :)
Would say 8 pm EST work?
This is a great idea and im down for it, but a time of about 11pm EST would work better, seen as that's around 5pm NZ time.
Thanks for the responses everyone, lets make sure we get a good and reliable time down. Perhaps we should start with just one day, for example wednesday 5:00pm brisbane time (2 am EST). Australia is 3 hours behind NZ, so the 11 est suggestion means 2:00pm for aussies, so people in school etc will have trouble getting on.

What do people think of wednesday (or thursday if we don't get it ready fast enough) 5:00pm brisbane time (2 am EST).

Ok, Facebook post posted to try and get more Oceanic players to look at this thread. If you follow us on facebook please like the post so it gets even more visibility and we can get a group playing. I will also check our Forge forums software to see if I have a way to pick out Oceanic players to send emails to.

I'll post again on FB/twitter once you all settle on a day/time.
Thanks Remztan, hopefully this can gain some momentum.

On Facebook we have a few more people who are suggesting 6am EST and 8:00am EST which would be 7pm in their respective time zones.

I think there's a little confusion because I guess there's an EST time zone in Australia too (sorry for the self-centered American) and I was referring to the US EST time zone. So, let's make it easy for everyone and since you all know your region better, let's have all times be in Australia EST.

If we do 8pm Australia EST than I think we can accommodate everyone. Does anyone object or can't make 8pm EST? I think this puts it at 10pm for those in New Zealand and 5pm for those in Perth.

Would you like to have the first one be tomorrow (Friday)?
On a personal level, my friends and I work from 5pm till 8 or 9 pm on tues/fri/sat/sun so that's a little difficult for us but i'm still happy for it to go ahead and if it's a success maybe we can organise some other times that suit better for us.

How about Monday's at 8pm Aussie EST?
That works for us, and the people who commented on Facebook. Let's try and run with Monday 8pm. Any news on the emailing oceanic players approach?

Great, then Monday 1/27 is confirmed. I checked and our forum software and it looks like the only way is if a player has filled out the Location field of their profile. I will send an email to all of these users.

I'm thinking to sweeten the pot by offering 2000 ORE to the top 3 players with the most XP during this time-period. I'll post on FB again today confirming and a reminder on Sunday.

Thanks for the idea and setting this up - it should be fun!!
Excellent, it's all arranged then.
I played from 7:50 to 9:00 but no one came on during that time. There were two players in a game as soon as I logged in but they soon left, this leads me to belive people were going by their daylight savings time and actually logged on at 7:00pm perhaps, rather than 8:00est. I'm continuing to monitor server population to see if anyone else appears.

It looks like there were 14 people who played during this time period. Hopefully we can keep this going and build more momentum and have even more next week.
