The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Which is better? This or Skyrim?
I've played Skyrim a little and I liked it. I have this one too and thinking to install and play it :D Just wanted to know which one is better? Is this one fun like Skyrim to explore and other stuff? :D

Technically Skyrim is a better game but if you played Oblivion when it first came out you would understand how this destroys Skyrim, I love both games. All in all, both games are amazing and have taken up many hours of my time (on Xbox).
its a matter of personnal preference, i have played more skyrim but i prefer oblivion, there just seem's alot more variety in terms of spells/potions/enemies

Skyrim without a doubt.
Skyrim from a technical and accessibility standpoint; Oblivion for atmosphere. Simply because of the atmosphere of Oblivion, I prefer it over Skyrim.
it all depends on your prefences, if you like, more fighting giant enemys, like dragons, Skyrim, but if you like creating your own calss and chosing what skills you want to master, oblvion
Skyrim, don t listen to the others.
it's the experience that it gave them 6 years ago that they prefer Oblivion.
If you played skyrim, and you start this game up you will be like:
"why is everything so ugly, why can't i dual wield, why can't i sprint, etc etc"

There are a lot of games that where awesome when i was young, but i just can't play them now because they are just.. ugly and simple.
Uhhh, you can sprint. Sprint is always on by default.....Plus, if you mod Oblivion, you can make it look amazing. Dual weilding...fine you got me there, but I never dual weild so it doesn't affect me.

Honostly skyrim because everything that "makes oblivion better" you can mod into skyrim really its just the nostalgia

No in oblivion you can only run and walk but in skyrim you can sprint, run and walk
There´s only one way to know who´s better, just play both of them :). I already play Skyrim an really loved all what the game have, and decided to play Oblivion to get another experience.
But if you are the type of people that dislike play older games or games with diferents game mechanics maybe it´s not for you.

i've played it too a few years ago, and for €10,- it's definitely worth it (it was even cheaper yesterday)
But the question was which is better. And I honestly think Skyrim is better.
It's all a matter of personal opinion, skyrim and oblivion are both great games in my opinion but that's coming from a person who isn't very critical of most games. Although most people who have played them tend to like both of them a lot.
as a man who put a lot of time in to both games (xbox) im going to try and list some points (spoiler free)

the world and map) the map in both games is about the same size but skyrims map has more land marks and stuff in it however oblivion envionments differ a lot more, there are steppe and swamps etc.

the combat) the melee in skyrim is much better than obliv's and combat flows easily, for both the bows are about the same but skyrim has more of them (like crossbows etc), the magic is FAR better in obliv however i mean you can make you're own spells and stuff (it was op as hell so i can see why its not in skyrim).

the story) both the main stories in obliv and skyrim are good but linear but skyrim has a few secondary stories in with the main one (so has obliv but they are far less pronounced).

the graphics) skyrim hands down, i mean obliv for a older game looks good and you can use mods but it just isn't as good as skyrim.

other stuff/nitpicking) both games have a LOT of bugs and a few game breakers, both have a lot of mods to pick from, the dialogue from nameless npcs (and a few named ones) can get repetitive and irritating (in both games more in obliv however), in obliv you MUST fix your weapons or they will break (not in skyrim), no shapeshifting in obliv (not a lot in skyrim but still), good dlc's for both games, enchanting is better in obliv (and eazy), less in the way of followers in obliv, citys in skyrim are bigger (other than the main city of obliv), obliv takes less to run, etc.

in the end both games are good but obliv is older keep that in mind.
