"Oblivion has stopped working" on startup
Just bought the game+dlc pack for this game, but every time I start it up it gives me the above message and closes out. Any way to fix this?

When you start the game from the Steam menu and see the Oblivion Launcer, click Data Files and make sure every box of DLC is checked.

Go to My Documents/MyGames/Oblivion/ folder and find a file called Oblivion.ini, delete it.

try running the game in "windowed" mode. i had the same problem, and noticed that the game was struggling to resize the window when launching. i thought it might have to do with my dual monitors so i checked the "windowed mode" box in the launcher menu under options (graphic settings). Launches and i can actually finally play now.
