The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Any Awesome Weapons and or Armour Locations?
Hello Everyone,
I just bought Oblivion GOTY edition. Is there any good armour/weapon locations? what's your favourite weapon in the game and how do you obtain it?
Also i'm a Nord Warrior (level 3) specialising in blades, so any locations would be appreciated but honestly you can post about any weapons/armour.

Umbra, a sword located in Vindasel taken from a female bosemer is the best 1 handed sword in my opinion. its given in the Clavicus Vile Daedric quest.
Thank you! Will check that sword out. Also heard she has a nice set of armour too.

When you get to level 20, do Boethia’s quest. You can get some pretty nice gear.

Umbra is a nice sword, but the problem with it is that at low levels you cant repair magic weapons without a high armorer skill so it may cost a small fortune to repair at an npc early on.

I suggest completing the Jemane brothers questline ASAP.

Start with Seperated at Birth.

Talk to Reynald Jemane at the tavern in Chorrol to start. There are 3 quests to complete and the last quest takes 3 in game days to flag. Once you complete these quests you receive the Honorblade of Chorrol which is really good for a while and you can repair it to raise your armorer skill.

Do not complete the Honorblade quest by turning it in until level 25 for the best version of the Eschuteon of Chorrol a shield with reflect damage.

I usually get Umbra and Honorblade ASAP. I use Honorblade for most fighting, and use Umbra sparingly for more difficult fights to cut down on the expense of repairing it. At least until it is more practical to use it.

Also for armor and weapons, if you are playing without OOO, then I suggest focusing on raiding these specific locations for good armor after level 5 when they start getting enchanted items.

Here is a list of the locations. They contain Bandit Ringleaders or Marauder Warlords, which are spawned with random enchanted weapons and enchanted armor on zone in. Saving the game before entering the zone before encountering them can change what they carry on reload. Farming these zones every 3 ingame days after level 5 can be quite profitable.

Dzonot Cave
Infested Mine
Fort Woodenhand
Fort Homestead
Fort Cedrian
Fort Alessia
Rockmilk Cave (has both marauders and bandits. Great spot for farming and arrows)

My favorite weapon in the game is the Crusader sword from Knights of the Nine. Takes a bit of an investment to get though.

One great starting sword is the Nightwatch Blade (think I’m remembering that right?) you will get if you go to the docks in Imperial City and stay the night in the ship that doubles as an inn. I won’t spoil what happens after that.

The dragon blade you can find in the hidden grotto in the Battlehorn Castle (from fighters stronghold DLC) is also a great sword you can get early
