Wargame AB noob who needs teaching
I'm a regular steam gamer who got Wargame AB 2 days ago and I have no idea how to play. I've done the tutorials but when it comes to multiplayer and skirmish, I suck. Can anyone help me and teach me a few tricks?

Infantry is the key to ''GIREAT SUCHSEESS" in many cases.

well in tutorials when playing with computer, they can see right through fog of war. Which is bs. but in multiplayer, recon is ABSOLUTELY KEY. have lots of recon every where, use smoke, and only advance your tanks when you know the enemy doesnt have countermeasures deployed. If you want more advice, feel free to add me and ill chat it up. :f117::mirage::sheridan::tomcat:

They can't see through FoW. I had an enemy convoy pass right past a bush with my Green Jackets hiding in it.
Thank you for the tips. I would be very thankful if you could keep give some more. I'm open to trying all sorts of tactics and tricks.

I have a few tips:

For defense: infantry (the anti-tank infantry), anti-helicopter infantry, and anti-tank vehicles spaced out in a forest can stop any attack. Support doesn't hurt either: attack helicopters, airstrikes, artillery, the infantry's APC's (if they have one), etc.. Always remember to have SAM coverage too. It's near impossible to stop airstrikes from dropping on your front line, but they will get shot down afterwards; and that one jet figher is probably a lot more expensive than that single unit they destroyed (remember spacing!).

Never use tanks for defense, unless you're preparing to attack. They are expensive and make airstrikes much more profitable for the enemy. They should only be used for defense as infantry support in towns. Even then, they run the risk of enemy helicopters supported by APC's and SAMs = get out of there. Infantry will take a lot down with them in the right conditions, and they're very cheap.

This is a game about using as little money as possible to destroy as much as possible, no matter the scale. The economic advantage and having the better position wins the game before the action starts.

Thank you Who Goes Thar. I've been needing some defensive tips as I always get hammered by incoming assualts. Anyone else please feel free to keep commenting as I will make sure to read them all.

Recon, recon, and more recon. Hit me up if you wanna practice against some AI's.

I suck too, but like greenmachine_6 said, you should assault in this order. "Recon, Aircraft (If radar AA, SEADS, and if signifigant numbers of other kinds, hold off), tanks destroyers and tanks cover from a click out and infantry in Humvees or M35s or Choppers move in.

Infantry can attack over mountainous terrain, and it's something the enemy might not be accounting for. Against the AI, it's very fun to send in Special Forces via helicopter and sneak them up into the enemy reinforcement sector to wreak havoc.
