[Resolved] Installation error, related to windows 7 64 bit users? Help

Installation fails, Microsoft(C)Register Server stop working, regsvr32.exe step 1 out of 2
then CWMC.EXE has stopped working..does this mean it don't work on 64 bit and is there anything i can do about it?
Or do i just wait..or what?
I got windows 7 Home Premium Acer Aspire 5951G, 64 bit system and also there was no sign on the store page about requiring a 32 bit system.

I use it the majority of the time on Windows 64-bit systems.

It's likely that something is blocking the installer from completing. What type of Anti-Virus suite are you using? Are you on an Administrator or Restricted Windows account?

Id like to think of my self as the owner but some times my windows 7 take action on its own, and i use Norton anti virus. Edited, music creator 6 touch 4 files failed to verify then when i launch performing first time setup start and it still crashes on installing regsvr32.exe step 39 of 54, Quick Star Pop up and the program crashes.And no my anti virus are not blocking the program.

I would try disabling Norton first. This has been known to cause Regsvr32 issues in the past. Regsvr32 is a Windows Service that we are calling upon. If that is failing there is some configuration/application setting outside of Music Creator 6 Touch that is blocking it.

The '4 files failed on verification' is a known issue and should not prevent you from using the application. These are files that are changed after the application runs the first time. When you verify they will return to a newly installed state.

Is it crashing when the 'Quick Start Dialog' opens or when you attempt to click on something?

It crashes right away on the quick start dialog i don't have to touch anything it just crashes, also i tried to disable norton and verify and reinstall but same thing happend.I don't know what else could block this program.

If its crashing without doing anything it's likely one of 2 things:

1. MC6T is having a problem accessing your audio card and it's being used/accessed by some other application.

What audio device are you using?

2. The Video/Flash window in the Quick Start is failing to load.

Have you installed the latest Flash player?

I had the same problem here. Disabling the antivirus (Avira in my case) did not help, but starting Windows in safe mode with network worked. After I started steam I could install Music creator and restart windows in normal mode. Hope it helps.

Thanks for this. I was getting tired of that error message.

Yeah that helped but the program still crashes when i try to start it on normal with out safe mode.So i guess i have to get a new audio device to be able to start up this program....

You probably just need to put it into the correct driver mode or switch a few settings.

Open up MC6T without opening a project. Just close the Quick Start dialog. Then go to Edit > Preferences > Audio - Advanced (make sure the toggle is set on the bottom of the window).

Make sure 'Share Drivers with Other Programs' is checked and click okay.

I fixed my problem by buying something called driverturbo that scanned my drivers and downloaded the newest updates for my drivers after removing the old audio driver and installing the new one the program seem to work fine now.
