Interesting. No one mentioned it, that I saw, when the update happened (and of course the update notes don't say it). I even played it for an hour and didn't notice any stuttering or anything, but it's hardly the most CPU intensive game.
That is what gets me the most about these kinds of things. They only hurt paying customers. So disappointing.
