Demo crashes near to the end

After Nate gets "arrested", screen blacks out, sound gets muted after a few seconds, and soon "xy.exe has stopped working". Happens for me on two rather different Win 7 laptop configurations (Win 7 64 on i7, Win 7 32 on Core2)

By "arrested" do you mean the game crashes as soon as Mraz gets on the ship ? If so, then I am having the same problem.

My game crashes too after ma zaz enters the ship and the chapter is gonna end.

Does your system run with two graphic cards? We experienced problems with Intel IGP chips so if you have two switch to AMD/NVIDIA high performance card.

I've the same problem on a MacBook Pro 2010, with GeForce 330M and Intel HD. Switching to discrete gfx card only doesn't help either.

One of my systems is a HP EliteBook 8540w with Core i7, 8 GB, NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800M, 1 GB, Win7 Pro SP1, 64 bits. The other one is a Dell XPS M1530, Core 2 Duo, 2 GB, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS, Win7 Ent SP1, 32 bits.
They are laptops, so switching cards is not really an opton for me unfortunately.
What should happen in the demo after Ma'Zaz enters the ship and Nate says something like "This is so unfair"?

i had this problem with single card no optimus technology and the latest patch solve the problem for the demo so i buy the game i will test the game when it finish installing

Hello, thanks for responding. The answer is "no". I tested the demo on Windows 7, but I'm running an iMac 27 inch - which uses an AMD 6970m discrete card if I remember correctly - I have the uprated 2gb version of this card.

I do not know if there has been a patch or not (as suggested in #8), but I can not reproduce the issue any more. If there has been no patch, a mysterious thing which may matter that I have started playing the original BoUT game, which may have resulted in installing/updating something, somewhere.
