The game of pointlessly running around

First off, I love Double Fine games. I played and loved just about everything that came from them.

But (at least as a single player game) this game is very badly executed. While I am still fairlyearly in the game, I am all ready fed up with all the pointless backtracking. It's like playing an adventure were the character can only hold one item. So far 80% of the game is running around getting stuff. Not figuring out what to use, no, just getting the obviously needed item. And once you did that, go get the item again to the next location. And dare you messing up a riddle at half point due to bad timing. Off you go fetching those items again. It's probably great fun playing it in front of a screen with two or three people. But as a SP puzzler it's just to much padding and not enough "riddles".

This is even more painful, as there seems to be a truly funny game beneath. I know hoping for another MM or DOTT would have been too much, but this is by far the worst DF game I played so far.

OMG, watch a "Let's Play" in advance and save your money. No reason to criticise a game for things u could have known, if you would have collected more information on it.
