Consistent Crashing
Does anyone else crash pretty constantly? I am pretty sure it is the AMD drivers, but ultimately it is hard for me to tell. Does anyone run Team Fortress 2 with an AMD card without it crashing about 10 minutes into a game?

Here are my specs:

Processor 4x Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz
Memory 8155MB (1503MB used)
Operating System Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS
Resolution 1680x1050 pixels
OpenGL Renderer Unknown
X11 Vendor The X.Org Foundation
Audio Adapter HDA-Intel - HDA Intel PCH
Audio Adapter HDA-Intel - HD-Audio Generic

I have a Asus P8P67 Pro board.

Admittedly I could have screwed up the graphics drivers, I am running the latest 13.4 proprietary drivers with an AMD 6970 card.

Me too! After installing 13.4 I cannot play Source games. They crashes after connecting to server.

I could get some games to work (The Cave, World of Goo, Champions of Regnum) with AMD's most recent catalyst driver, but: black flashing screen then back to desktop, core dumps on Portal & TF2, child processes couldn't be reaped, had to resort to SIGTERMs to kill steam processes sitting around after. Logs in /tmp/dumps/*_stdout.log were full of red herrings.

So after trying everything else I could find on forums to little or no affect, I finally added the xorg-edgers repo, did an apt-get update/upgrade, rebooted, FINALLY it works. (pulled it back out of the active list after the update.)

This last seems to have done the trick. Of course, there's something disturbingly fitting about playing Portal with the little watermark "AMD Testing use only" on the lower RHS of the screen. I am sure if I leave the watermark there, there will be cake as a reward. Right?
