Team Fortress 2 Mouse Misalignment
I've just installed TF2. It starts in fullscreen on my secondary monitor, which is 1366x768. Moving my mouse around highlights buttons some distance above my mouse pointer. As a result, I cannot click on the buttons near the bottom of the screen. As a trsult, I cannot access the options menu to switch it to windowed mode.
I can use the arrow keys to highlight the buttons at the bottom of the screen, but pressing enter does not activate them.
Everything displays properly, sounds play, etc; everything seems to work, but I can't do anything.

This happens probably because the resolution of your second screen is higher as the one TF2 runs in. The game uses the resolution of the other screen, that's why the cursor doesn't work like it should.

I have the same problem here because TF2 gets opened on my 1600x1200 monitor while my primary screen has 1920x1200.
Because of the same vertical size I can still navigate through the menu to a certain extent. At least I could change the resolution. :)

Try adding -windowed to your launch options. This will run the game in windowed mode and you can change your settings.

I had the same problem, and running the game with -windowed as launch option solved it. Thanks!

Have the same problem, same setup where my game screen is 1680x1050 vs. the second screen that's 1920x1080. :)

We fixed quite a few bugs around multi-monitor issues. Please let us know if you still encounter this issue with the next client release, coming soon.

I'm still having this issue, on a laptop, never connected an external monitor to it, it's bizarre. Affects all source games for me, using Ubuntu 12.04.

Similar problem but my machine is connected to a (single) TV via HDMI.

I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 but running enlightment17 and cant click on anything though everything else works

My issue was resolved at some point, probably by upgraded TF2/Steam or graphics drivers. Also by the fact that I gave up on Linux and went back to Windows for now.
